Hockey Big Day Out
On Monday it was hockey big day out and our school entered some teams. In the morning me and everyone else who entered sat on the hall deck and got into our teams and then we walked over. My team was called the Pumas , We had Me, Morgan, Toby, Shivarne, Matthew, Mason, Nathan . We had five games , we won our first three games and then we were in the finals for our pool which was against another Ngatea team which was called the Jaguars. Unfortunately we lost our pool finals but then after that we played another team for third and fourth and we one which meant we came third overall. After that went and watched the overall finals which was against two other Ngatea teams and the Jaguars won. I had a really good day and I was happy with third.

One Australian man will definitely be sore after hauling in a 363kg Black Marlin in Perth on Wednesday. It took three hours to pull it in . This record beat the previous record for biggest black marlin (296k) but unfortunately halfway through bringing it in his friends had to help him stay straight which is against the rules which means his record did not count. The twenty five year old who ways 72kg (just one fifth of the marlin) said wrestling with the fish was the most painful experience of his life. The biggest ever marlin catch in Western Australia was a 368.20kg Blue Marlin.

One Women received a very strange surprise when she cracked open her egg to find another egg inside of it.
She filmed her discovery showing everyone the remains of the first egg , the shell, the yolk and the extra egg that came out. The extra egg was smaller and was covered in something goey but after a while the women realised that the whole egg was intact. She tried cracking open the second egg and it was perfectly fine. check out the video

Do you have a fear of heights? or are you a daredevil because for those who are wanting to battle their fear of heights need to check out this , a seventy story high glass slide. The 'Sky Slide' is set to open in June this year , the sky slide is 1000 feet above the ground and it slides from the 70th floor to the 69th of the tallest building in west Mississippi. Anyone willing to slide down this would be sliding down nothing but one and a quarter inch of glass.

Apple Tower Reflection
On Tuesday in our class we got into our learning teams and we had fifteen minutes to make a tower using only straws and tape and it had to hold and apple on the top of the tower. My team decide to make a pyramid sort of thing and make a platform to put on top. It took a while to get it done and then we tested it with Michael's apple and it worked. Finally everyone put there towers on the table and Miss Williams tested them all and Ours worked . I think my team worked well together and everyone got to say their ideas. If I got do it again I would make a bigger taller one and use up all our straws . It was cool because everyone was involved and everyone had a job and no one was left out .

Holiday highlight
I jumped on the biscuit then gave dad a thumbs up and he accelerated, I started slow and got faster, then dad turned a corner . I started turning further, hitting the edge of the wake and water sprayed my face, then dad straightened up and I went off the wake but luckily I didn't tip. then on another corner dad got me off the wake and as the rope tightened I swung away from the wake and then the biscuit started tilting on its side then quickly it straightened up. I was so close to tipping but it was awesome.

They are hoping that having these roads will increase the use of electric cars . Electric cars can not travel very far without having to charge so if they drive on these roads they will not have to stop and charge. The cars that will be using the road will need to be fitted with wireless technology and special equipment will be installed under the roads. The equipment under the road will create the voltage the car needs to charge .

Who inspires me
One person who inspires me is Sir Ray Avery . He invented the life pod , an incubator that has the power to save the life of many babies . Millions of babies die each year because they do not have access to neonatal care and these babies are usually born in poor hospitals that can not afford incubators. The poor hospitals that can finally afford one usually buy one and a small part will break down and no one knows how to fix it so it is shoved into the corner and no one can use it . Ray designed one that is much cheaper and is portable and it even has backup power just in case it main power source breaks down . But what really inspires me is that he is doing to be kind , not because he wants money but because he wants to help .
