Hockey Big Day Out

On Monday it was hockey big day out and our school entered some teams. In the morning me and everyone else who entered sat on the hall deck and got into our teams and then we walked over. My team was called the Pumas , We had Me, Morgan, Toby, Shivarne, Matthew, Mason, Nathan . We had five games , we won our first three games and then we were in the finals for our pool which was against another Ngatea team which was called the Jaguars. Unfortunately we lost our pool finals but then after that we played another team for third and fourth and we one which meant we came third overall. After that went and watched the overall finals which was against two other Ngatea teams and the Jaguars won. I had a really good day and I was happy with third.

One Australian man will definitely be sore after hauling in a 363kg Black Marlin in Perth on Wednesday. It took three hours to pull it in . This record beat the previous record for biggest black marlin (296k) but unfortunately halfway through bringing it in his friends had to help him stay straight which is against the rules which means his record did not count. The twenty five year old who ways 72kg (just one fifth of the marlin) said wrestling with the fish was the most painful experience of his life. The biggest ever marlin catch in Western Australia was a 368.20kg Blue Marlin.

Do you have a fear of heights? or are you a daredevil because for those who are wanting to battle their fear of heights need to check out this , a seventy story high glass slide. The 'Sky Slide' is set to open in June this year , the sky slide is 1000 feet above the ground and it slides from the 70th floor to the 69th of the tallest building in west Mississippi. Anyone willing to slide down this would be sliding down nothing but one and a quarter inch of glass.
