Marble Track

Me and and my friend Abby made a marble track  it was hard because the marble kept stopping in the middle of the track , and sometimes some pieces would fall apart . We had to work together to keep it from falling apart . When we were nearly done the first marble track we went to add the last few pieces and the whole thing broke which was kind of gutting but then we made a whole new one which was much taller than the other one so we took some photos

My anzac video

This week we had to make a anzac presentation and a creation , I worked really hard to make my presentation and I did lots of research but then when I finished I didn't know what to do for my creation so I decided to to a stop motion lego video .

Art Evaluation

In term one I did some art .The teacher traced the shadow of my head from the side and once she had traced it I went over the outline with vivid . After I did the outline I drew things in the middle of the shadow , the things I was meant to draw was things going on inside my head and then I coloured it in this is what it looked like

Holidays

During the holidays me and my family flew down to Queenstown for four nights we got to do heaps of cool things. We arrived at the airport and hopped into our rental car , it was a blue Holden commodore . We arrived at our hotel at about four thirty and unpacked and watched some TV then we went to dinner .
These are some of the things we did over the next few days

• We went on the shot over jet   
•  We went to puzzle world in Wanaka
•  We went up the gondola did the luge .
•  We went to arrow town and panned for gold in the river
•  We went to a place called oddesy , which is a place that has a whole lot different rooms like a room full of yoga balls and a mirror room and also a pitch black room .

After we enjoyed our time in Queenstown we drove to mount cook village and we stayed there one night . before dinner we went for a walk to see a glacier and when we were walking back to the car it started snowing . Then we went out to dinner and then found a place to stay and went to bed . The next day we hopped in the car and went for a drive to see the mountains , we stopped on the side of the road to take photos and then we took of to Christchurch . After a long , long  ,long drive from Mount Cook to Christchurch we eventually found somewhere to stay  and went out for dinner then went back to the motel and went to bed . We got up the next day and went for a drive around Christchurch it was quite sad to see all the ruined buildings . After that we drove to the airport to leave . I had a great time in The south Island .

Easter eggs

This week my group designed virtual eater eggs with the computer teacher to celebrate Easter .

Tech

For Tech I was in cooking for five weeks , we made

• cheese and bacon on toast with a berry and banana smoothie .
• mini pizza's with pita pockets as the base .  
•  Vanilla Biscuits with icing sugar .
• French toast with golden syrup . 
• Vanilla Cupcakes with icing .

My favourite was French toast with golden syrup . We dipped a piece of bread in a mix of egg vanilla essence then we put the bread on the pan to cook then after it was cooked on both sides we served them with golden syrup , yoghurt and banana . I thought I t was delicious .

Now I am moving to fabrics and materials , I think we are making Frisbee .

I really enjoyed cooking and I think I might choose it for my Impact .

Leadership Hero

Never give up

A time when I have never given up is when I was in Pauanui And we were going biscuiting , My brother went on the biscuit and I was watching him on it and it looked like a lot of fun so I built up the courage to have a turn . Dad stopped the boat so I could hop on the biscuit so I hoped on and dad started to accelerate the boat and we sped up and It became harder to stay on and my hands were getting sore but I was determined to stay on and then dad did a corner and we swung right round .
I still managed to hold on .
I never gave up .

After school

After school on Wednesday and Thursdays I have swimming club , there is three groups and I am in the middle one . Usually on a Wednesday it is normal practise when we get tips and feedback on our swimming and on Thursdays it is points night when all the groups come together and there is a whole lot of different races you can enter , at points night you get points for the prizegiving at the end . On the last two nights it is club champs which is when there is two nights of racing , and I am proud of myself because I entered the 7 lengths freestyle which was kind of hard , and next week it is fun night and prizegiving which is always cool .

Hauraki plains swimming

This week on Monday a group of students from Ngatea primary School went to Hauraki plains swimming sports , I was lucky enough to be one of them I was going for 1 length freestyle and 2 lengths backstroke  I did not make it in to Thames valley but I tried hard . Before Hauraki plains swimming we practised at school which was good but I still didn't get in to Thames valley but that's all right.

Swimming sports

On Monday it was our school swimming sports I entered 4 races , they were

1 length and 2 lengths free style and 1 length and 2 lengths back stroke .

Happiness

I think the thing that makes me happy is when I help someone or make them feel good about them self  . It feels good to hear people encouraging you so I think it is nice to encourage them when times are tough . I also get happy when I get to go on holiday at the beach , I love playing in the waves and jumping of the wharf and spending time with my family , all these things make me feel incredibly happy and I like to feel that way all the time because you only get one life and I want to spend mine being happy and doing cool things.

I was looking at some quotes and I saw this one and I thought it was really cool and it has a really good message . It proves that you don't have to be perfect to do really well in everything . And I think being unique is probably better than being perfect .


                                                                                                                                                                 

This one is already on my blog , I think it is a really happy quote and it is one that gives you a nice feeling , it proves that you can have bad times when the smile disappears from your face but the smile will always always come back :-) 

Holiday recount

These holidays I went to Pauanui which is a beach up the coromandel

we got to do all sorts of cool things like jumping of the wharf and biscuiting

one of my favourite things to do was go down to the beach and have a good time jumping and playing in the waves with my cousins and friends .

I also enjoyed going down to the waterhole and jumping of the rock and

having picnics and going for long bike rides and having bakery for lunch

and cruising down the waterways in the boat . I had a great time these summer holidays .

Marama

My fist impression of marama was good I thought it was really cool and I was glad to be back at school and I was ready for a new year . In marama the teachers always make the work we do fun , we have much more choice and freedom in marama which is cool .
My goal for this year is to probably learn to manage my time much better because I am not very good at doing that , so that something I want to be able to do by the end of this year .
I am also looking forward to camp , It is in Taupo and I really like going to Taupo because there is lots to do there and it is an opportunity to try doing something new .

Gold card

In marama we have a gold card system which is when we have to wear a lanyard and on the lanyard is a list of things that we have to do to get our gold cards , some of the things are 

• listen to others
• tidy up after yourself
• wear correct uniform

   These are just some of the things  that you have to do to earn your gold card .
I the teacher sees you doing these things they will tick it of on your lanyard and when you get everything ticked of you get your gold card .
There are privileges of having your gold card but if you do something wrong you will get it taken of you and you will lose the privileges of being a senior .
I have 8 out of 15 ticked of and when I get them all ticked of I will get my gold card which looks like this

My first reflection

This was my first reflection we actually used drive word cloud to do this , First we typed the words into a box and then it made it into this

Multiple intellegences

In marama we all had to take a test that tells us our multiple intelligences
here's my results

I was mostly intrapersonal which is like being independent
But at the same time I am interpersonal which is like working with a group and things like that
I am not very word smart or picture smart which surprised me because I like photography and it
also says I am numbers smart , and it says I am averagely musical smart and nature smart .

This week we were put into learning groups to do activities we were told to come up with a name and a team recipe . The name of the group I am in is called the Pink Fluffy Unicorns and our team recipe is , 
1. Treat people how you want to be treated 
2. Share your ideas
3. Encourage others
4. Brush you Fur ( wear correct uniform and look tidy )
, After that we had to make an online poster using Piktochart
